Cloud Computing means that you use an 'Online' storage facility for your files and documents Plus you are able to take advantage of the computers connected to the 'Cloud' for additional processing power.

There are some good reasons why you might want to take advantage of this, basically the software you use is updated at source (for an annual membership fee) and you can access all your documents and files where ever you are.

There are some very real concerns with Cloud computing, the likes of Microsoft, Google and HP will not tell you this But you should be aware of the downfalls.

1. Security
Everything is on the Cloud 24/7 and is available to hackers and Governments and anyone else who 'knows someone'.

2. Access
If there is a power outage in your home, your computer is not available to you. If there is a problem with the "Cloud' your documents and files are not available to you. If the internet goes down due to 'whatever' problem (undersea cables damaged by earthquake (2009) or bysabotage/hackers), you are out of business. Try explaining that to your customers.

3. Politics
I don't think I need to explain that one.
This topic is a work in progress, please add your thoughts and suggestions.
